Johann Henkel

His passion for interface design emerged during his studies as a Industrial Designer at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design. At several design agencies he expanded his skills and working knowledge further in the fields of packaging-, transportation- and medical design. In the process he gained experience with international design projects and had a determining influence on the interface design department of the design agency Held+Team.

Lars Horn

Prior to his studies at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design he completed an apprenticeship as a production model maker and worked as a CNC mill operator. The practical experience with a variety of materials and production processes influences his design approach to this day. After establishing a design modelmaking department for a company in Hamburg he was responsible as a designer at uvex and developed and designed safety products successfully.

Till Kemlein

Already during his studies at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design Till Kemlein was oriented towards Medical Design. After his graduation he was the responsible designer for a medical research project and collected experience with manufacturing technologies and engineering  in employment with an industrial service provider. In recent years, he designed numerous products for well-known companies from the medical sector.

In everyday language a system is referred to as a plurality of elements that interact with each other so that they can be regarded as a dedicated unit. Therefore, a system always implies an added value, increased safety and inevitably an advantage over an isolated solution.

From the metric system and DIN standards, over operating systems of computers and smart phones, color and furniture systems to car sharing systems - systems shape our daily lives. Due to the progressing global networking, the number of ever more complex systems is steadily increasing. The requirement on each single product or solution, to integrate into its superordinated system, without losing its own identity grows constantly.

We at System D have understood these demands and consider it our duty to face that challenge. We create holistic solutions that simplify the handling and operation of a product and at the same time conceal its complexity. It is our mission and passion to create products that blend into their field of application perfectly. As a result the ideal impact of a product and its underlying brand (identity) can be achieved.
